Vintage 3 Speed English Bicycles

Rudge Report

Kijiji seller lists this as a 1920’s Rudge for best offer.

I think it’s from the 50’s or early 60’s.

I have a beautiful original condition 1964 Rudge with a Brooks saddle and a not installed front wheel generator. Would someone help me determine a value for this bike? Thank you.

Realy enjoy your posts, especially those about the raleigh superbe. I have a 1973 superbe for which I need new tires. Which tires shoul I buy, who sells raleigh spares & as I live in St. Catharines ,where is the nearest shop to me ? Thanks. Richard Harvey ________________________________

    • Hey Richard. Tires should be readily available. Canadian Tire carries 26″ x 1 3/8 ” and I would imagine your local bike shop could order something as well.Urbane Cycle here in Toronto is pretty good for Sturmey Archer stuff.

Definitely looks post-war (i.e. WWII) to me, especially with a trigger shifter. Def NOT 1920’s whatever it is (1950’s?). Nice looking bike, though…would look really nice with some TLC
