I’ve done a little more work to my Eastman built Windsor Winchester Path Racer.
It’s certainly an attractive bike to look at but not the most comfortable one to ride.
It does have a strange geometry to it.
The rod and lever brakes, while stylish don’t compare to modern brakes for stopping power. Some of the brake parts are marked “Shelco”.
I’ve added a NOS composite spring saddle.
Motorcycle style rear hub adjusters.
In some places it’s marked “Windsor”.
Some parts are labelled “Eastman”.
I also added a new pair of MKS rubber pedals, available at Hoopdriver Cycles here in Toronto @ $30.00/pair.
I do recommend these pedals as they are a good size (large) and are real rubber. Some of the other vintage style pedals are hard plastic.
I had another one of these bikes that I’d salvaged some parts from. I sold it yesterday to a guy from St. Catherines that plans to use it as the basis for a WW1 repro bicycle to use in military re-enactment shows.
I’ve asked him to send me photos of the progress so we’ll see how that turns out.

An odd bike from India, a Winchester with a very old style to it. The story of this particular bicycle can be found here.
I bought one years ago and made it into a Path Racer of sorts.
And here’s another one from the Rat Rod Bikes site.
Below, another Eastman/Windsor/Winchester currently for sale on Kijiji Toronto.

It’s full steam ahead. The first annual Toronto Vintage Bicycle Show will be held on Sunday July 29th in Trinity Bellwoods Park at the Strachan entrance. Everyone is encouraged to come out and show their bikes. There will be vintage bicycles and parts for sale as well. Vendor rates are $25.00 for individuals and $50.00 for a business payable in advance to the Community Bicycle Network on Queen or on the day.
Vendors are required to provide their own tables/booths.

Spotted in the Market a Hercules bicycle built in India, year unknown. Based on the Raleigh Tourist these bikes are still produced by the thousands.
Very similar to the Flying Pigeon from China.
The owner added the Brooks saddle and the quart of milk.
